Tyrone Whitehorse

Navajo

Customers from around the globe are owners of his beautiful creations. Tyrone proudly states “I am Diné from the Page, Arizona area. As a silversmith I have followed in my grandfather’s footsteps and have been inspired by his work to bring my culture and art to the world. Many of my pieces aim to keep the old style of Navajo silversmiths alive. Working contemporary art into my pieces has been a goal in order to appeal to individuals all over the world.”

Tyrone’s grandfathers last name was Etcitty which translates to Silversmith, which is one of Ty’s self taught talents, since he never had the privilege of meeting his grandfather.
